Arlene began her career singing her original songs in the small folk clubs of Greenwich Village and Boston where many of her musical idols like Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell got their start.
After successful years as a Pop and R & B writer and sought-after studio and jazz singer, she relocated to Nashville to focus on writing country songs.
Arlene’s songs embody the best of both worlds: the clear, observational talent of a born New Yorker, along with the down home aesthetic of her beloved adopted Nashville.
